For accountants

Your clients' documents and their Fio payments in one place

Your client forwards documents to their company's Zettl e-mail address, Zettl matches them with the payments on their Fio account, and you can see at any time which payments still lack a document. For each month you download the documents as one PDF with a summary, the Fio statement and the payments as CSV.

How it works

  1. Your client sets up Zettl

They sign up, connect their Fio account and get the first 14 days free. Then they invite you to their company in Zettl by e-mail.

  2. Documents arrive by e-mail

The client's company has its own @zettl.cz address. The client forwards invoices and receipts to it, and AI reads the vendor, date and amount.

  3. What's missing is visible

The Missing documents page shows outgoing payments without a document. Attach one, or mark that the payment needs none.

  4. A reminder every Monday

On Monday the company's owner and admins get an e-mail with the number of last week's payments without a document and a link to fill them in.

  5. The month's files

The month's documents as one PDF with a summary, Fio's official statement as PDF, payments as CSV, issued invoices as XLSX, CSV or ISDOC, and for POHODA the received documents and bank movements as XML in one ZIP, or Zettl sends them straight in through mServer.

  6. All clients under one login

If you're a member of several clients' companies, you switch between them in the app with one click.

Good to know

  • Zettl does not do the bookkeeping. It prepares matched payments and documents; you book them in your own software.
  • The Missing documents page suggests payments that usually need no document: bank fees, tax and insurance payments to accounts at the ČNB, and transfers between own accounts.
  • The Monday e-mail goes to the company's owner and admins. If you want it too, the client has to add you as an admin; the admin role is part of the Firma plan.
  • Issued invoices can be imported into Zettl from ISDOC files (.isdoc, .isdocx, several at once or as a ZIP): with a preview, the customer found by company ID, and invoices already in Zettl skipped. Invoice import is part of the Firma plan.
  • On the Firma plan you can connect an AI assistant (e.g. Claude) to a client's company via MCP and ask, for example, which payments still lack a document.
  • Shoptet e-shops: with the Shoptet Premium plan, issued invoices come into Zettl automatically every night through Shoptet's private API (and any time with Sync now); on other plans the client uploads them as a ZIP of Shoptet's export (Orders → Tax documents → Export → XML (ISDOC)). Incoming Fio payments are matched to the invoices by variable symbol, and an invoice that arrives both ways is not duplicated. A buyer without a company ID or VAT ID doesn't create a client in Zettl.
  • An e-shop paid out by Comgate or Packeta (Zásilkovna) uploads their payout report (CSV or XLSX). Zettl links each payout to the matching incoming Fio payment, marks the invoices it covers as paid, and records the gross amount, the fee and the net payout.
  • Zettl works only with accounts at Fio banka.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers on this topic.

Who pays for Zettl, the client or the accountant?

The plan belongs to the client's company. You join it as a team member and count among its users: the Start plan (150 Kč a month) has 2 users, the client and you.

How do I get clients to send their documents on time?

Forwarding the e-mail to the company's Zettl address is all it takes; nothing is retyped. A rule in their mailbox can forward invoices from regular vendors. On Monday Zettl reminds them of payments without a document, and the Missing documents page shows what is still due.

Can I have several clients in Zettl?

Yes. Each client invites you to their company, and you switch between companies in the app under one login.

How do I get the data into my accounting software?

Zettl sends a month's received documents and bank movements straight into POHODA through mServer, if it is reachable from the internet over HTTPS; otherwise you download a ZIP with the XML and the document files. Issued invoices as ISDOC, which most Czech accounting software reads, or as XLSX or CSV. Payments as CSV, the Fio statement as PDF, and the month's received documents as one PDF with a summary.

Which role do I get in the client's company?

Team member: you see payments and documents and can edit them. On the Firma plan the client can add you as an admin, so you get the Monday e-mail and can manage the team.
