Zettl and POHODA: Zettl collects the documents, POHODA does the books
Zettl doesn't replace POHODA; it complements it. It collects the client's documents, matches them with Fio payments, and for each month you download one ZIP: received documents and bank movements as XML for import into POHODA, plus the document files. If POHODA mServer is reachable from the internet, Zettl can also send the month into POHODA directly.
How it works
Documents and payments in Zettl
The client forwards documents to the company address, payments arrive from Fio and Zettl matches them.
Export for Pohoda
Transactions → Import / Export → Export for Pohoda: pick the month and the bank account's abbreviation in POHODA, and download the ZIP.
What's in the ZIP
prijate-doklady.xml (received invoices), banka.xml (account movements) and a doklady folder with the files. The XML is version 2 in Windows-1250, as POHODA reads it.
Or straight into POHODA
If POHODA mServer is reachable from the internet over HTTPS, enter its address, user and password under Settings → Accounting → POHODA connection and send the month with Send to POHODA. For each document you see whether it was imported, already exists in POHODA, or failed.
Import and settlement in POHODA
After importing the XML, pair payments with documents using POHODA's automatic settlement: a matched payment carries its document's pairing symbol.
Good to know
- For received documents Zettl stores no VAT breakdown, supplier IČO/DIČ or taxable supply date. Each document therefore arrives in POHODA as its total, not split by VAT rate, for the accountant to split.
- Bank movements carry the variable symbol; Zettl stores no constant or specific symbol.
- The export needs the company's IČO in Zettl's settings: POHODA only accepts data for the accounting unit with the same IČO.
- Direct sending needs POHODA mServer reachable from the internet over HTTPS. POHODA installed on an office PC usually isn't; then use the ZIP export. Zettl stores the mServer password encrypted, and the company's owner or an admin sets up the connection.
- Re-importing the same month adds new documents and refuses those already in POHODA. Import movements either from banka.xml or from a statement straight into POHODA, not both, or they will be there twice.
- The XML is validated against the schemas Stormware publishes. Try the first import into POHODA on a single month.
- Issued invoices are not part of this export; they leave Zettl as ISDOC.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers on this topic.
Does Zettl replace POHODA?
No. Zettl does no bookkeeping. It collects documents, matches them with Fio payments and hands them to POHODA, where the books are kept.
Can I send documents to POHODA directly, without a file?
Yes, through POHODA mServer, if it is reachable from the internet over HTTPS. A repeated send skips what POHODA already has. If mServer isn't reachable from the internet, which is usual for POHODA on an office PC, download the month as a ZIP and import it in POHODA.
Is the VAT breakdown carried into POHODA?
Not yet. Zettl stores no VAT breakdown for received documents, so each one arrives as its total and the accountant splits the rates in POHODA.
Are payments paired with documents in POHODA too?
A payment matched in Zettl with one document carries that document's pairing symbol, so POHODA's automatic settlement assigns it. A payment matched with several documents has no pairing symbol; the document numbers are in its internal note.
What about documents in a foreign currency?
They arrive in the foreign currency with the ČNB rate for the document's issue date.
